We are Barbara Panter-Connah, Ann Whitley-Singleton, and Jan Smith, three fiddlers who came together to explore our love of the roots music of Appalachia, as well as classic Country, Cajun, Gospel, Honky Tonk, and beyond. Lively, festive, and hauntingly beautiful, this music, which is deeply rooted in Eastern Europe and the Mediterranean, has had a heavy influence on American popular and jazz music.

Mrs. Schmaltz can custom tailor her repertoire and performance to suit your particular programming or party needs. She can provide entertainment and musical accompaniment for any type of gathering – be it elegant or informal, intimate or grand – ranging from a duo, trio, quartet, or quintet to a six to eight piece dance or show band for larger parties and lavish affairs.

CindyLouHeadshot09_400x400Cindy Lou Harrington – an award-winning singer/songwriter and acoustic guitarist. Together with her Atlanta-based, southern-and-classic-rock band, Showdown, which includes daughters Brittany and Taylor, their strong-harmony arrangements, and extraordinary songwriting have been showcased regularly at venues throughout the Southeast. Their performance resume includes opening for Kathy Mattea at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and sharing the stage with established bands such as Sawyer Brown, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Neal McCoy. Cindy Lou has kicked off Atlanta Braves games with her rendition of the National Anthem five times!

Peavine Creek string band – Peavine is a long-established Atlanta-based string band playing old-time and Appalachian music right in the groove, and singing the songs that formed the roots of country and bluegrass.
